DAY 1 – DALLAS/ FRANKFURT
Depart Dallas on Lufthansa German Airlines to Frankfurt.
DAY 2 – FRANKFURT / TEL AVIV
Arrive in Frankfurt and change planes to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival you will be met and have a late evening transfer to meal and overnight in Netanya on the Mediterranean Sea.
DAY 3 – CAESAREA/CARMEL/MEGIDDO/TIBERIAS
Early departure to Caesarea by the Sea to visit the Crusader’s Castle and restored Roman Amphitheatre from the time of Pilate, Paul’s imprisonment, and the Holy Spirit being given to the Gentiles at Cornelius’ house. Onward to visit the top of Mt. Carmel where Elijah called fire from Heaven consuming the sacrifice. We drive on to the Valley of Armageddon and ancient Megiddo, one of Solomon’s Chariot cities, to see the excavations and water tunnel, and conclude the day with a visit to Cana where Jesus preformed His first miracle. Dinner and overnight in Tiberius.
DAY 4 – GALILEE/CAPERNAUM/BETHSAIDA/MOUNT BEATITUDES/MAGDALA
Take an early morning boat ride from Tiberius on the Sea of Galilee. Travel to Mount of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount is remembered. Then visit the New Testament synagogue and Peter’s House at Capernaum which was later converted into a church. Within six short miles we will visit Bethsaida the home town of several of the Disciples, and the new excavations at Magdala the home of Mary Magdalene. We will visit the ruins and church at Tabgha where Jesus multiplied the fish and loaves. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
DAY 5 – DAN/HAZOR/CAESAREA PHILIPPI/NIMROD’S CASTLE
The Upper Galilee will allow us to journey to Dan at the time of Abraham’s arrival in the Promised Land, to Joshua’s burning of Hazor, through the New Testament declaration of Peter at Caesarea Philippi, to the Crusader Period at Nimrod’s Castle all within a few short miles of each other. We will have lunch high on the slopes of Mt. Hermann in the Golan Heights on the Damascus Road. The day will conclude with a drive around the Sea of Galilee and a water baptism service in the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
DAY 6 – MT. TABOR / BEIT SHEAN / JERUSALEM
An early departure for a journey to the top of Mt. Tabor. Then we will stop for a brief visit to Gideon’s Spring and onward to Beit Shean and visit the excavations and Tel where Saul was killed. Onward down the Jordan Valley we will proceed to a visit to Ancient Jericho and the ride up the Jericho Road into Jerusalem to dinner and overnight in our hotel overlooking the Temple Mount.
DAY 7 – POOL OF BETHESDA / HOLY SEPULCHRE/MT. ZION
Begin the day with a visit to the top of the Temple Mount and the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. Visit the Western Wall and the Rabbinical Tunnel. See the Pool of Bethesda and St. Anne’s Church, the traditional birthplace of Jesus’ mother. Walk the Via Dolorosa through the Old City and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Then visit the Shrine of the Book and see the Dead Sea Scrolls. Stop and see the Model of the City of Jerusalem We return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8 – BETHANY/EN GEDI/QUMRAN/MASADA/DEAD SEA
We begin with a stop in Bethany to experience where Lazarus was raised from the dead. Then drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada, the last stronghold of Jewish resistance to the Romans in 70 A. D. Take the cable car up to the site to see Herod’s palaces and the baths. Visit En Gedi to see the caves and waterfall of David and Saul. Continue to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. A short swim in the Dead Sea at end of the day will ready you for your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
DAY 9 – JERUSALEM
Visit the Mount of Olives overlook for a time of ministry/teaching, the Pater Noster Church, Palm Sunday walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Visit Caiaphas’ house at St. Peter in Gallicantu. We visit Mt. Zion with the Upper Room and David’s Tomb. Then to the City of David which lies outside Jerusalem’s current walls along a narrow hill on the southeast side of the Old City. View walls, towers and fortifications that protected the city from enemies, pass through the water system (Hezekiah’s Tunnel), see Gihon Springs in the Kidron Valley and visit the Pool of Siloam. We will conclude the day with our visit to the Garden Tomb with Holy Communion. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 10 – TEL AVIV/FRANKFURT/DALLAS
This morning we transfer to the airport in Tel Aviv for our flights to Dallas.
